Dr Erika Raines D.V.M, B.Sc.

Dr Erika Raines had a dream while at the Oregon State University’s college of Veterinary Medicine. This dream was to integrate oriental medicine and other non western modalities with Modern Western Medicine. During her final year at vet school she enrolled at the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine. She successfully graduated from both the university, obtaining her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree and the Chi Institute. Then she saw that Tree Of Life Veterinary Care was looking for another veterinarian to join in the practice!

Once she looked at the website she realized she had found her dream! Once Dr Marlene Smith, founder and owner of Tree of Life Veterinary Care and Dr Erika met, they realized they had a shared dream of providing high quality integrated veterinary Care for pets and horses!

Dr Erika was brought up to speed with the completion of her training in Veterinary Chiropractics. Graduating from one of the best professional courses in Veterinary Chiropractics at the Healing Oasis, recognised by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association she now can offer her chiropractic skills to small animals as well as horses. Yes, Dr Erika is bringing the services Tree of Life used to offer to the Equine community back again with chiropractics, acupuncture, herbal medicine and natural nutrition and supplements for horses!

Dr. Marlene Smith saw in Dr. Erika her successor with the same passion, dream and dedication to integrative medicine that fuelled her determination to establish the Tree of Life Veterinary Care.
With great pride and trust she has handed the responsibility to continue excellent integrative veterinary care over to Dr Erika Raines!

She and her partner Emily share their hearts with their cats Cato and Dominiqua, their dog Baldr and their rat Katharina.
